[update] anti-AI on this site, July updates

As mentioned before, I haven’t been updating as much on this website, because I don’t want it to be associated with AI, not even fake or falsely labelled AI. Yes, I know all internet content will eventually be scraped and used by the government and businesses and tech for nefarious purposes, and also this planet will succumb to heat death or nuclear war sooner rather than later, but I’d like to not openly contribute to that if possible. I’d like to pretend I have some standards and honor! Crazy, I know! However, I haven’t updated my neocities site since last month… oops.

Now for July 2026 updates. I have been posting monthly news and wrap-ups on ko-fi but no one seems to be following me on ko-fi or buying from my grey market shop there. I also considered making a mailing list, but again, I no longer want anything to do with this website provider service, so I am not following through on that. Just a post collecting links and summarizing what I did in place of newsletter updates or social media wrap-ups, will be tagged updates for anyone interested.

[art] gyaru freebie mini zine

I made this Gyaru freebie mini-zine for the Gyaru/Y2K art market! I only illustrated 2 pages and put in one photo of my himekaji outfit, but hey, at least I finally finished it and passed it out to fellow girly girls, so I’m happy.

[update] July 2026 bullet journal monthly layout

Next is my July 2026 bullet journal monthly spread, which features a festival themed collage, because that’s what July means to me.

[shopping] small business support – purchases of second quarter 2026

I also made my quarterly purchases summary, to support small businesses and hey, I provided links this time lol.

[fashion] Misako Aoki sewing book volume 2 review!

I bought Misako Aoki’s sewing book volume 2 at Kinokuniya and reviewed it here for you!

[zine, fashion] Hardstyle Princess zine and headdress review

Finally I sewed a headdress, wrist cuffs, a bow and a rosette badge from the back of waist ties of my Meta Rose Palace dress! I was really proud of this project.

The first weekend of the month, I went to the aforementioned gyaru market which was really cute and small, but full of fashionistas. I got to wear my Meta leopard jsk but in a gyaru theme, and I sewed a headbow and made accessories for it, but I don’t like it on my natural hair, so I didn’t post my coord photos. Next, I spent time with my family and friends, ate at like 5 local businesses. I also went to a claw machine store for an Apothecary Diaries market event, which was super cute, but unfortunately the store closed afterwards so I will not be revisiting future markets there. Then when my friends came back to my house, we went to the second part of the Yoshitaka Amano exhibit, which was cool as usual but they also had an activity sheet, which I took home. That same day we also went to a different art market at the mall and I bought a few items from artists. During this entire month, I’ve been listing items for a garage/estate sale online, everything must go!

Lace Market

Mercari

Ebay

As for what I’ve finished since my last wrap-up, I did finish the purchases links, bullet journal and the sewing project posts, as well as one of 2 promised blog posts except I don’t remember what the second post is about lol. I have not changed my PC set up yet since I don’t have enough merch to change themes, but I think I can figure out something this month, and I also want to clean/re-arrange/re-decorate my bedroom once it gets a little cooler. Anyway, once I finish listing items for sale/resale, I will get to work on that best of zine, another freebie zine, and a doujinshi (I know that was one of the other two projects I had in mind), and make some progress on my neocities site and the in progress cosplays. I will have at least one event to go to in September, so that’s my deadline! See you guys next month!
