[update] July 2026 bullet journal monthly layout

I didn’t actually draw any art for this month of July bullet journal layout because I already drew stuff in the previous post (gyaru zine) in the beginning of July and I didn’t wanna draw more, so this is just a sticker collage. But it’s a beautiful collage!

This month’s theme is festival, matsuri and summer celebration with friends because that’s what July is about to me! I promised I was not going to do a pink or blue color scheme this month so I had to give up a few perfect pink and blue stuff to make this collage, but I’m glad I stuck to my concept of dark red and brown and earthy yellow tones (still got some blue though lol). Starting on the left side, I used more traditional Japanese themed stickers with a few Chinese motifs. The top washi tape sticker is from yunorium, the Blythe doll in kimono I bought at Lucky Bunny shop. The gold foil washi and kimono stickers are from Daiso, but I included one lantern sticker from Stickii Club (Vietnam story). The origami paper and torii gate washi sticker is also from Daiso. The spooky Japanese monster sticker I got recently at Sprinkle Trinkle Town (will be linked in an upcoming post), and the fat cute phoenix (?) is from a Asian monsters zine from a few years ago. The Animal Crossing Genji notepad is from Haiyun, and the bottom washi tape is Demon Slayer from… an artist already mentioned from a couple of years ago, sorry I forgot their name.

The right-hand side I crafted from black tissue paper I decorated with gel glitter metallic pens and foil transfer stickers from Daiso. The bottom/top galaxy stickers are also from Daiso, and the right hand gold foil moon stickers are from Haenuli. The cute Gaming lion dance sticker is from another artist mentioned this year in a previous post, and all of the other Genshin stickers are from the Xianxia Genshin themed zine I got some years ago, I believe these are all Mondstadt characters wearing Chinese hanfu and hanging out together, cute!

I didn’t celebrate July 4th because of the gyaru market and it was hot and I didn’t want to be outside anymore, but I did get to watch the top half of the next city’s fireworks from my living room so I drew a few fire works with gorgeous Gelly Roll duochrome gold pens on the black tissue paper. Now here was the concept I would have drawn if I had the will to, I have this invisible ink Kuromi pen I got from Teso Life that shows the ink under black light, and I thought I could draw an invisible drawing on the black paper with it. But… the drawing on black paper was invisible with the black light! That was not well thought out lol. In the end, I just wrote some cute messages and reminders on my calendar and in the moon of the note paper for me. Even though my idea for a drawing didn’t work out, I still love this cute collage, so festive and fun.
