This is the last bullet journal layout for my Genji journal and I’m sad to see another end of an era, but time waits for no one, I’m getting older and feel the clammy hand of death on my shoulder.
This month’s bullet journal is another collage, no artwork from me. I didn’t even hand-letter the month name nor draw the calendar out, I just used these planner stickers I already had from Daiso and Maruti Vitamin (koyamori). Holiday washi tape and pastry stickers are from Daiso, galaxy dessert tape is from Shattered-earth and umm… the pastry tape is from an artist but I already forgot. The glitter dungeons and dragons small stickers are by carm! The 2 glittery witch stickers are from Okashi-con this year. The right-hand side features 3 stickers of Frieren, Fern and Stark by Frijolito on an origami paper background and more carm stickers and some deco stickers. I thought I had a Dungeon Meshi Chilchuck sticker but it must have fallen out of my purse, can’t find it anywhere, otherwise it would have been placed somewhere, probably take out one of the witches for him. I did have an official Frieren sticker, but couldn’t find a good place, it was kind of big.
December’s theme is cozy baked treats and dungeons and dragons. I didn’t really have a seasonal theme just like November, just wanted to make a sticker collage, but I suppose one could argue Frieren is journeying to the far north and deals with snowy winter weather often, and December is the start of winter so that relates. Now, the baked treats are relevant to Frieren since Fern does love her pastries. Of course the stars and blue flowers also come up often in Frieren, so I added them for a pop of contrasting color. I don’t think the orange cat has much to do with Frieren or Dungeon Meshi if I recall, but kitty just looked so mischievous and matched the pastries well. I actually haven’t finished Dungeon Meshi, my brother cancelled his Netflix so I can only watch when I’m at his house watching my nephew, but watching my nephew watch Bluey takes up almost all of my time there lol.
Not a lot of dates marked on the calendar since it’s so small and I didn’t really have plans yet. Anyway… hope you liked this layout, I didn’t draw anything but the sticker usage worked out satisfactorily. I’m not sure what I’m going to do for next year, since I have 2 blank notebooks left, one a dotted bullet journal from koyamori and the other an undated but technically 2023 planner from Flower Knows. Because I use my planners for recording my day to day, I should just use blank notebooks, but on the other hand, I don’t imagine I’ll be doing much next year after Trump becomes president again, so I should just go ahead and use the Flower Knows planner since it’s so cute and the cover looks like chocolate. Stay tuned for my decision!
