As promised, what the upcycled skirt from a men’s shirt (sewing post here) looks like worn! I also made a matching black bunny-bow headband out of the leftover scraps from the shirt and some elastic. Here I am wearing it with a blouse, earrings, hairclip, ring and socks all from Liz Lisa, the velvet shoes are from Taobao. The purse is Maison de Fleurs x My Melody collab and the purse charm is Lizmelo. Once again, the shade of grey-pink of the blouse looks terrible on my skintone but pretend it looks nice for the sake of this post.
[fashion, 2026]Personally, the proportion of the skirt isn’t flattering in this photograph, but that’s on me gaining weight and having cankles the size of an apatosaurus or triceratops. I do believe I have some sort of still unidentified chronic illness causing that, or it could be old age and hormones causing me to swell up like some hideous flesh balloon. But disregarding my appearance that is making this coord look fugly, I can guarantee this skirt is genuinely comfortable and cute and not stuffy and too tight like my other Liz Lisa skirt that this is duplicating. Plus it’s made from a shirt that would have been donated or trashed, so I’m not polluting the planet by too much. I think the bunny headband could have used some wiring inside to make it stand up like actual bunny ears, but I wouldn’t have worn it much if there were wires inside if I’m being honest. If I wear this again, I would wear with sheer black tights or black knee high socks/boots, but it’s too hot to even contemplate that right now. Overall, a perfect coord… on someone else lol.
