[fashion] Wa-lolita for Kira Kira Market

Kira Kira Market was an artist alley event in the suburbs of the city to the west of where I live, held back in the first weekend of April and I’m just posting about it now the last weekend of May lol. It was a cute event with indie artists selling arts and crafts, a boy’s love tea event, K-pop dancing time and an ita-bag contest, the whole range of girlypop interests. The weather had just turned cold and rainy that weekend. I didn’t have an outfit planned, but decided last minute to wear a coord (Kaiseki in Waves by CEL) I’ve never worn which explains why I couldn’t find the matching hairbow in time, and I couldn’t pull up the last 2 inches of the zipper on the side so all photos are a little lop-sided.  That’s what happens when you get old and don’t metabolize like you did in your twenties.

The actual coord was pretty nice and this final version is even better.  There are peacock feathers in the print, hence the peacock socks (that are super tight), and if I had cute heeled lace-up boots in brown, I would wear those for a true retro vintage styling.  I do wish I had thought to wear the hairbow in front of my head so you can actually see the design instead of the back of my head, but I linked the sales page here so you can see all the details. It seems they piled 2 hairbows on top of each other for a kitty or fox effect on the models. But we can’t disregard the most important fact that I can’t zip up the dress all the way, which is mentioned in the one review on the website so it’s not just me lol. The other buyer just left the zipper fastened and put it on over their head and shoulders, which I am barely able to do, but then I can’t wear anything underneath because there’s not enough breathing room with the zipper fully zipped. The other solution is to wear the haori jacket at all times haha. Anyway, I loooove this print, love all of the ruffles and ribbons on the dress, which is high-waisted and theoretically comfortable if I could fit into the bust. I’m happy to finally get good coord photos for it!
