Ack, over halfway through 2024! I actually started this layout after August started because I had been busy with preparing for the cruise and had family stuff to take care of, but I’m pretty proud of what I managed to do. This month’s theme is One Piece because… of going on a cruise ship in the ocean at the beginning of August lol. But I had this planned before I knew I was going on a cruise, the reason being I had a ton of One Piece stickers leftover from the planner fan project a couple of years ago, and August is the last month of summer, and I associate summer with pirates more than say, fall or winter.
As mentioned almost all of the stickers and washi tapes are from the Log Pose One Piece planner project, as well as the rubber stamps of Sunny and the whale I already forgot its name. I got the deluxe version and it came with so much gorgeous merch made by fans around the world. One of the One Piece stickers is actually from a pack by artist Jyahm at the local art market and the regular planner like stickers is from clearance Michael’s and some ancient Korean stationary I found.
On the right hand side is a drawing I did of Princess Vivi in a casual outfit I found online. I cut out the bottom half of the drawing (cuz I messed up lol) and overlaid the drawing over this beautiful aqua and gold origami paper from Daiso. Then I added more stamps and stickers and some washi tape of My Melody (tanned lol) from Hawaii that I bought in Hawaii because the bright floral colors matched Vivi’s skirt and overall tropical vibe of One Piece (even though Hawaii was not a stop of historical pirates). The drawing is a bit not so good as usual, and I forgot to draw some islands and clouds in the background that I had planned to, but overall this layout makes me smile to look at. I was happy to use more stickers since I don’t know when I’d get a chance to use them next, the planner stickers were almost all much larger than the space allotted to them in the planner so I only used like 3.
This replaces the recipe review for Fridays since I didn’t end up buying the groceries I needed after I got back, and I didn’t want to take photos of boring brown food again, which is all I could make with what I still had. Let’s hope we survive until September!
