Kaeya and I watching a whale swim by the ship!

[photos] 3 night cruise on Pacific Ocean to Mexico

I went on a 4 day, 3 night cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenada in Mexico and back last weekend. This isn’t normal content for my blog, of course, but first of all, it’s my site and I can write about whatever I want to, and secondly, I just wanted to share my cute photos here since I already posted them on twitter anyway.

Obviously I won’t be sharing details about the cruise because I went for family reasons and not for fun, so it wasn’t as fun as it could be if I went with my brother or friends or you know, not at all lol, but the world is already a cruel and horrible place and being a negative Nelly helps no one, hence the attempt to find something positive about the trip. That positive thing is being able to take a few photos with Kaeya wearing a tropical shirt in a gorgeous custom beach card holder that I got from the “Yours Truly” Kaeya fanzine last year! I was searching my fanmerch for something small to take photos with even though that’s not really my thing, but I didn’t want to risk losing a plushie into the ocean or doll-napped by a seagull. This Kaeya card was small enough to slip into my travel purse and pretty enough to take photos of, perfect last minute decision. Unfortunately it was also so shiny it just reflected my phone and you can barely see Kaeya’s face through the decoration, but now I know for next time lol.

The first photo on the second day I randomly stepped outside for fresh air on the lower deck and saw some guys watching the ocean carefully so I went to the railing and noticed a grey whale swimming by the ship! I was super lucky to be able to capture it blowing air in a photo with Kaeya, I was not expecting much wildlife observation on the trip.

The second photo is on the third day when we landed in Port Ensenada in Mexico. Gotta get a pic of the palm trees and sunny breezy skies!

The third photo is watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean that same day, very romantic and calming after busy and overstimulating 3 days.

That’s all. Even though I don’t normally take out dolls and such for photo ops because I don’t want to risk damaging or losing them, this was such a great last minute idea, totally on theme, and I also felt Kaeya brought me a lot of luck, that is, I did not get food poisoning or covid (yet, according to the home test). Would I do this again? Probably not, but I’m glad I did it at least once!
