I had a busy first week and half of October so I haven’t even started my usual blog posts and monthly projects. But I’d like to start with something easy and that is the wrap up newsletter for September 2026~!
First up is the September 2026 bullet journal monthly layout, which is Scum Villain Self-Saving Villain novel/donghua based, focusing on Shen Qingqiu because that is his birth month. I did a fanart with a little background this time! Overall a pretty layout with a gold and green color scheme, love it.
Next, another recipe review from my cookbooks, this is Tasting History by Max Miller from Youtube. I baked this German style apple pie for my friends using store bought dough because I don’t like making pastry dough, and while the taste was good, I felt the texture wasn’t right. Need to watch a video on this.
Then I finished another outfit for Original Character Outfit August from 2018, so I have a total of 17 different outfits for my succubus girl Eisheth. Posted them all here on this site for the first time.
I actually made these 3 bags in 2025 but never shared the full photo. I am selling the small quilted tote on Etsy, and the pouch in person, and the heart bag never.
And that’s it. I got busy during the end of September preparing zines and fashion for the 2 markets I was attending and also didn’t have much I wanted to post about.
September started with work after time off and on Labor Day weekend, I went to the farmer’s market to drop off recycling, then to browse an art market at the local mall, then off to have dinner with friends (with above mentioned apple pie.) Labor Day was spent at home, crafting and cleaning as usual. Then I prepared for Fan Expo, which I had been meaning to attend to see Peter Cullen who passed late August. I bought the ticket earlier and decided to not get a refund since I may not ever return, so I put on my Pokemon Trainer Hilda cosplay, parked (way too far away) downtown and walked in the blistering heat to the con, where I tried to cool off, then paid my respects to Peter Cullen. Then I browsed the artist alley for gifts for my family and friends, got tired, met up with a friend to sit down and chat, afterwards getting an Uber back to my car lol because I wasn’t toiling away another 25 minutes in record heat. At this point, I began trying to complete a cosplay started earlier this year (like… March) for another event but once again still didn’t finish, nothing new there. I took time off to watch Spider Man with my brother for his birthday, then spent the weekend with friends, specifically watching the Transformers 40th anniversary 1986 movie screening with fellow fans. Absolutely fun to watch on the big screen, plus they had a great short animated with Peter Cullen’s final voicework afterwards. The following weekend I went to farmer’s market again, a political event, then the Japanese moon viewing festival for the Autumn Moon, which was super hot and crowded just like last year although I did get to see the Okinawa drum dancing. My mom came over that night and we went to various Asian stores the next day, but no more Autumn Moon festivities darn. The month wrapped up with a covid shot since they no longer limit to certain health conditions now.
Overall a busy month with lots of festivities and time spent with friends and family but also working on political stuff. Even though voting may seem useless, the fact that the opposition is trying to disenfranchise people is still a valid reason to push voting. I’m grateful that I have been able to live relatively peacefully so I can do my small part for our society. I just wish I can do more – well, I can, we all can, but then we’d be punished… Back to cleaning and working on my art and other projects!
