[shopping] small business support purchases of late 2024

When the pandemic started, I began a thread on Twitter detailing all of my online purchases and con hauls to help support small businesses who would be suffering during the lockdown and general economic downturn. I occasionally reposted pics on Instagram if I was already following the accounts and businesses on Insta. But I stopped posting my hauls as of 2024 due to unpleasantness of both sites regarding data scraping and lack of privacy and you know, fascism, but I still want to acknowledge and link to artists as an artist myself. So I am posting all of my purchases since the hiatus to my blog instead. Hopefully this is not too boring for you, it’s more archival for me, but you never know, maybe you’ll see something you like from an independent artist! I want to note I also did buy fanmerch and original art before 2020 but it was occasional, like 4 times a year at the big local cons and a few Etsy purchases from artist I followed on Twitter.

You may be wondering what happened in early November 2024 that caused a sudden drop off in posts? Well… an election happened. It was a dark time…. But eventually I got out of bed and went back to shopping, and here are the photos I took of my purchases, finally posted 6 months later.
