Here is March’s bullet journal layout! The theme is Apothecary Diaries anime/manga, which I really enjoy and I feel like the protagonist Maomao and I will get along because I am a pharmacist. March is my birth month so I always try to do special themes for this month that is the beginning of spring (or summer where I live tbh) and full of hopes and new beginnings except not because war.
I love this layout! Normally for Apothecary Diaries, I would choose a green color story since Maoamao wears green and is around plants and such, but I had this new Chinese themed washi tape of blue and red and gold to use, so I went for a blue and pink theme instead, and it looks lovely.
The left side calendar is the usual standard grid I do every month, I don’t think I’ll ever get more creative just because I like to write in the boxes and this layout is the most visual way for me to accommodate my big handwriting. I decorated with washi tape I got at Sprinkle Trinkle and scraps of origami paper (technically Japanese from Daiso) that matched. I used Apothecary Diaries stickers from errm a local artist I will link to in my first quarter shopping post in April, Evaienna and Kumabrows to decorate, as well as decorative/journaling stickers from Michaels and Joann’s and Daiso for floral and calendar decorations. I also used a doggy mood sticker from Xiitya to note my meetup date.
The right side features a background of more Daiso origami paper, with Daiso cherry blossom stickers and Michael’s butterfly stickers. I also included two chibi Maomao and Jinshi stickers from turtle.prism for the collage. My fanart for the month is a small portrait of Maomao this time in her apothecary robes, with a gold and blue frame. I need to remember to not use this sketchbook paper with alcohol markers because it shows spots of blue under light colors. It’s ok for this layout since Maomao does have freckles (not blue ones though) and having a handmade antique look works for the theme at least.
Anyway no further notes from me. Bujo layouts need not be perfect so the fanart is never flawless, but it makes me smile to look at this finished spread, and most importantly, the calendar looks clear and useful and the fanart collage didn’t take too long to finish. As I did in February for January, I made a 2 page collage of memories using photos printed out during the month of February, but I will not be posting those on public sites or to sites that collect data for AI surveillance anymore, so you just have to imagine a cute scrapbook spread. I feel my bujo will be very thick and chunky by the end of the year lol.
