Just wanted to write a quick update on day 2 of the Fire Emblemathon! Once again I didn’t play all 3 games at the same time due to wanting to listen to the music and voices, but I played them all within 24 hours, mostly at night.
Blazing Blade – got to some exposition about Lyn after the second tutorial battle with the first 2 side characters. Almost got one of the knights killed, down to 1 hp lol. Not looking optimistic for the rest of the allies later on, my bad.
Awakening – accidentally skipped the exposition pressing buttons too fast, and then played the first actual prologue battle, which was mostly tutorial. More exposition afterwards, and the map opened. I feel like this might be the “normal”est of the 3 games in regards to pacing.
3 Houses – I played for almost an hour, but I didn’t get to a battle so I’m severely rethinking how this marathon will go! My session was mostly cutscene, exposition, cutscene, then an introduction quest. I think I will just play as far as I can get to within an hour, I suspect 3 Houses has a lot of random stuff to do that will slow me down immensely.
