aka the Rocky III Run – If He Dies, He Dies. If I Marry Him, I Marry Him.

Welcome to a new series on my blog, an ongoing set of gaming posts in which I log trying to play three different Fire Emblem games at the same time: Fire Emblem Blazing Blade on my pearl pink Nintendo DS Lite, Fire Emblem Awakening on a pearly pink Nintendo 3DS and Fire Emblem Three Houses on coral pink Nintendo Switch. (I also have Fire Emblem Heroes on my Android phone but I am not starting over on that and lose all the gacha characters I pulled lol.)

Am I crazy? Yes. Am I good at chess? No. Do I have a record of making sensible decisions in dating simulations? Hell no. But I will not get through the stack of videogames on my list without making a spectacle of it. As you can see by the subtitle, I’ve nicknamed this the Rocky III run, in which I did choose the easiest routes with non-permanent deaths for the latter two games, but I will not be making any conscious choice regarding anything else, except I will go for Blue Lions for Three Houses just in case that’s the only time I play the game. Whatever else happens, happens.

I have apparently played a few hours of Fire Emblem (Blazing Blade) before, I do remember a troop dying and I ragequit lol, but I started a new game over the previous save file. I also recreated my female avatar for Awakening and started fresh on Three Houses with female Byleth. I did not end up playing all three games at the same time, I forgot Three Houses was fully voice acted and the talking was getting distracting while I was trying to remember which button did what on the other two games. But I will be playing one battle on each game within the same 24 hour period and progress like that until I finally finish the games.

So far prologues were interesting, quite the drama. Tutorial battles were easy. Sure are a lot of mercenaries in these games, they should do something about it – oh, that’s my job? Not sure if it was important for me to choose the adorable answer or the stupid answer for Byleth. I hope I marry Chrom hahah, but keeping my options open!

I don’t know when the next installment will be, though I’m hoping to play more often than once a week. Stay tuned for more bad decisions!
