As promised, here is my PC setup for spring 2024, featuring Touken Ranbu like my March bullet journal layout. I didn’t do a winter theme because I couldn’t think of anything better than last year’s, so spring it is.
I know I say this about all of my layouts, but this is probably one of my favorites so far. Spring florals, totally not groundbreaking, but the fact that I happened to have enough Touken Ranbu merch and related stuff to make this beautiful set up makes me super happy.
On the left side that you can’t even see I have a pink sakura blossom fan with bunnies from Japan, I think it was a gift or souvenir. I have the anniversary art book, plus paper files, clear files in 2 sizes, a postcard/sticker book I found at Half Price Books (could not believe my luck!), as well as a notepad gift hung up on the walls and displayed to take up space. Also on the walls are fanart posters of the tantou (short swords) which are my faves, bought years ago at artist alleys. I also displayed another eevee card (leafeon) plus a print of Yamato from jayperior and of course, the new flower water dragon deskmat and a sakura school print from noisywyvern, and a sakura Unicorno enamel pin that just matched perfectly. On my monitor stand and cable organizer box are a bunch of official keychains, buttons, plus official merch I bought in Japan at Nakano Broadway, a bell and a little plastic jar, and some official candy that is probably too old to be edible lol. Also got a fanart button and postcard on the monitor stand/organizer box and on the phone stand is yet another fanart charm and button badge. I hung up a white paper lantern I decorated a couple of years ago with cherry blossom petals from Daiso (which were also scattered on the desk) and also sakura branches and wisteria blossoms and some pink roses to go with the spring hanami theme, although I think roses bloom in late spring/early summer. My favorite parts of the decor are the sakura branch in an emptied sakura cola bottle, a new set of cherry blossom fairy lights that I got at Popshelf or similar, and the handmade sakura Japanese teacup I got at my local tea shop.
While I do miss the Razer deskmat with LED lights that matched my other pink Razer light-up items, I love this new giant deskmat, so pretty and makes me smile. I didn’t take a daytime photo because I have an open layout and didn’t want you to see my messy kitchen lol, but here is a daytime video if anyone is interested. Note, the challenge is I am trying to not purposely buy new stuff for these setups, just use the tons of fanart and merch and clearance florals I already own, or prints and merch I was going to buy anyway to support local artists, but obviously I did buy a new deskmat just for the PC. But one or two new things with each setup is not too frivolous! Right?
Anyway, I’m kinda uncertain if I will have a summer setup because I don’t have that much more merch that feels summery, but maybe I’ll have enough for a fall or winter setup, we’ll see.
