It’s January of 2026, I didn’t think we’d make it, but here we are. Since I finished using the mini Flower Knows planner for 2025, I decided to use a blank notebook I bought from Koyamori (website shop) printed with their illustration of persimmons on a pleather cover. It is a A5 size dot grid journal with elastic band, back pocket and orange ribbon bookmark similar to the Overwatch blank notebook I used in 2024 from ohmonah except it has dot grid paper and different accent colors. I do like this size of journal since it’s large enough for my handwriting and drawings, but not too big so that I feel overwhelmed trying to decorate it.
This is a photo of the inside cover, with the letter from 2025 me to 2026 me on the left side for reference. I was not feeling good in December of last year because as you know, Trump was elected again. The hostage bunny sticker was a Christmas gift from my friend. The cover page for my journal has a “Stay Young Stay Wild” sticker from Yellowstone Park from our family vacation and a horse sticker that was from an artist I follow (their name is somewhere in this website). I decorated with various Daiso washi and foil stickers and floral stickers from Michaels, sticking with a warm red and orange and yellow theme since 2026 is year of the Fire Horse. On the opposite page is the official cover page for 2026, using Genshin Impact fanart washi tape, celestial washi tape, a notepad sheet from the Kaeya fanzine, and floral Genshin stickers (all artists are named somewhere on this site lol). Also I used PET tape red flowers from Taobao and more of the Daiso stickers and Michaels stickers from the other side. Of course there is a lot of blue on this side due to the Kaeya illustration (he is a cavalry captain so he does have a horse and thus worked perfectly for 2026 theme), but I am pretty happy with the unusual yet pleasant color combo here.
Technically after the cover page is my future log, or 12 month calendar in which I mark the weeks I work onsite, my vacation, holidays and birthdays, but it’s just a grid with handwritten months and some washi tape dividers and numbers from Daiso, nothing too exciting.
Next up is my to do list and goals page. I use sticky notes from the Kaeya fanzine to put in my yearly goals and write my 10 year plan, and added a sticky note (official) of Venti as well. I decorated with stickers from the Kaeya fanzine, the floral Genshin stickers, and the Michaels stickers. In the background is a peacock washi tape from an artist (that is named somewhere on this site, I’m sure). On the other side of the spread is my goals page, and I used the other Genshin archon sticky notes to write those – Zhongli for health goals, Nahida for social goals, Raiden for online shop goals. Again I used the floral Genshin stickers and Michaels stickers to decorate, and I also used a Venti sticker that I got in a trade at a con probably from Taobao, and stationary of Kirara I got from a lucky pack at a kawaii goods store, which I cut up to decorate the bottom. My handwriting is messy, but overall I’m happy with how I used sticky notes I already had on hand for organized lists. Because otherwise I’m not using these sticky notes lol.
Finally on this last spread, I have my self-improvement list (aka more goals that didn’t fit in the categories of the previous page) and my health and period tracker on the left side. I decorated with more stickers from the Kaeya fanzine but kept it plain for ease of use. On the right side, I used the same Genshin sticky notes of Al Haitham I used in 2024 to write out the media I want to make progress on finishing this year, such as movies, books, TV series, manga/comics, video games and danmei. I decorated with a sticker from the Kaeya fanzine and a Childe/Traveler sticker I got as a freebie from an artist (somewhere on this site?) mostly because the other Genshin stickers were too big and/or clashed badly with the colors I had in mind. I didn’t finish the last tracker I made, but hoping I get more than halfway marked this year. The media lists were partially copied from 2024 since I only checked off 2 things in the past 2 years, I’m lazy I know, but I took out a few series I lost interest in (Jujutsu Kaisen ahem) and added a few more in progress novels and games and manga/anime that I might be able to finish this year, maybe, if I concentrate really hard.
If you want to know more about these yearly spreads, please check out MochiBujo on youtube, as they explain the purpose of these pages in the world of bullet journaling. I don’t really use my bullet journal to plan ahead (except for my work schedule and vacation), I mostly use it to log the events of the day at night like a diary, although I do journal as an opportunity to use up my washi tape and stickers and trying to draw one traditional media artwork a month. I very much enjoy the creative aspect of journaling and I tend to go overboard with maximalist decoration instead of aesthetic and tasteful decoration, but honestly I keep my appointments and to do list on my phone. Anyway, hope you enjoy this year’s yearly spreads, and January’s monthly spread is coming up soon!
