Here is April’s monthly art over a week early for once! During my week to commute even, I am never this on top of things. I actually drew several fanarts this month that I am not sharing here lol, but decided to whip up a quick fanart of Fern for Frieren, one of my favorite anime series which was in need of fanart in like December of last year. But hey, I finished it before 6 months was out, okay?
[CG, 2025]I did draw this very quickly after a consideration of my art influences (if you didn’t know who I was except what was on my twitter/bluesky bio versus if you knew what sort of things I actually drew from when I started drawing fanart a lot in my early teens), see thread here. Disney and 90s shoujo manga are the easy obvious answers based on my age, but the real answer is Nomura and other videogame character designers and the hidden sleeper answer is the Serendipity books from the 80s. I hope you see the influences even in this doodle, thought that was fun to think about.
