Getting suspiciously later and later each month, but here is May’s monthly spread for my bullet journal! I am continuing the theme of favorite series I have cosplayed from and that coincidentally I have collected stickers and stationary for. This month is a mashup of Pokemon, Animal Crossing and Neko Atsume, for a theme of “games that you can play to collect a lot of special creatures from Japan”. For some reason I do not have Pokemon washi tape which is unusual, hence the mashup to include related franchises lol. The main character of the day is Hilda from Pokemon Black and White whom I have cosplayed, holding Tubbs the cat from Neko Atsume.
[ink, marker, pencil, 2024]The Animal Crossing balloon gift tape and milk tea Bulbasaur is from shattered-earth. The pink butterfly sticker is I believe a form of Vivillon (haven’t collected it yet) from jayperior. The squirtle squad sticker is from… I can’t remember, it was clearly bought ages ago lol, but I know it was from an artist I’ve been following since the 2010s. The mini Glaceon and Umbreon stickers are from katco.studio. I had a few more Pokemon stickers I could not include because they were so massive and couldn’t fit anywhere on my layout. The other side has my own artwork of Hilda and Tubbs, plus a sticker of Raymond from Animal Crossing New Horizons by haiyunee. All other decorative stickers were from Michaels and Daiso. Is this my best art, probably not, but it’s good to work with traditional media until you do get better (someday, some far off day). My journal is getting chunky now, but that makes me happy.
