[fashion] ultimate resources/links page from my J-fashion blog

As mentioned several times before, I was not able to figure out how to easily migrate my past blogger/wordpress entries over to this domain for archiving and I think maybe it’s not worth it because some of those entries were from another era over 10 years ago and they were rough and mayhaps even cringe, lol. But I still want to make a handy resource link page to my best, most informative Japanese street fashion entries for my and also your reference!

J-fashion refers to Japanese street fashion in the trend-setting category for young adults specifically, not regular everyday or traditional or special occasion clothing for the majority of the population. Most of my blog from 2015 until now (spanning over 2 decades in the fashion) is about lolita fashion (not related to the book), but I also occasionally participate in gyaru styles and a few other substyles including those from the west. These are all links from my original blogspot entries, in the future, any lengthy post will be posted to this domain first and then crossposted to the blogspot and linked at social media (for as long as those sites last anyway). As a reminder, I am not an expert or trained seamstress, stylist, makeup artist or hair stylist in any way, the only claim I have to knowledge is that I’ve been in the fashion for like 20 years and I just accumulated facts and experience over time. Do with this advice as you will. This reference is actually more for me, as some of you with short goldfish-like memories can understand, sometimes I just don’t remember what I did.

General Reference and Discussion

titled Japanese Fashion Spectrum (effort versus accrual). Left side states lifestyle (gyaru, hime gyaru, agejo) with a picture of a hime gyaru model, captioned "the most effort; hair, makeup, nails or skin upkeep. The center states "vibes" (jirai kei, larme, mori kei, any trend on tiktok probably, western styles - cottagecore, etc) with a picture of a larme kei model, captioned "amount of effort and clothes vary as long as the vibe is recognizable and complete". The right side states wardrobe (lolita, historical styles) with a picture of a lolita model wearing a red jumperskirt, captioned "the most stuff: clothes, accessories, shoes, structure garments"

Other Styles (Gyaru, Larme, Ouji, Etcetera)

I have many more entries on my blogspot and I encourage you to check them out and add my blogs to your newsfeed reader if any of the above links interested you. We got a ton of coord pics and reviews, as well as a few more DIY dresses showcased, some discussion based on lolita blog topics such as the annual wardrobe post, my dream dresses wishlists, local lolita community meetups, and also shopping reviews, stuff that I couldn’t add to this already long link list. In the future, I would maybe add a few more resources or sew-with-me type of posts to this list, because a lot of these posts are 5 years old and kinda outdated with the latest trends from Japan and elsewhere. Thanks for sticking around if you made it this far!
